Services Icon - Property Market Information

Posted by OneMap | Tuesday, May 31, 2011 | Category: , , , |

The list of services just keep adding on! Today TeamOneMap is gonna introduce a good 'lobang' to our users... the Property Market Information service brought to you by URA. :)

This service allows users to find information of private property transactions with caveats lodged. If the property is rented out, you can also find out the rental prices! Not enough? Information of prices of units sold by private developers can also be found here plus you can also view properties that are still in the pipeline of development... All these, as always, can all be found in one map (OneMap)! :D

Here we go!

Find this service under the Services Icon in OneMap.

A new window or tab will be opened, directing you to the Property Market Information (We are gonna use the abbreviation PMI since Singapore loves abbreviations!) site.

Don't be stunned if you were asked to search for the name of the property if you have no idea what is it called, call up the map to help you locate it! Please go ahead and type the property name if you know it though.Under the date form, you can select a range of period to know the transaction prices. However, do note that you can only search for a maximum period of 2 years.

Now, let's see how we can find the property name using a map.

Click the 'more search options' button on the right and you will be brought to this page:

There are several options for you to locate the property. For map based ones, you can view the postal district like this and follow the steps:

Or you can straight away go to the map view by clicking on the 'map view' button on the right:

Users can either enter a location in the location box or zoom into the map and click on the properties. In this demo, we enter a location 'Revenue House' and hit the enter button. The map will zoom to the extent detailed enough to display the individual properties around the area.

You can mouse over the building icons and basic transaction information of the units within the building will pop up.

If this is the property you are looking for and wish to know the transaction details, just click it and it will be added to the selection column on the right. You can also click a few more properties to compare the prices, as shown here:

After making all your selections, select the period of transaction you wish to view and hit the go button!

You can view all the transactions of the 3 properties in the table! If you want to compare any of the column information, just click on the column header and the information will be sorted in ascending or descending order. :)

You can also click on the individual properties to view their own information.

Hang on, there's more! Besides the data, you can view the figures in graphs! Click on the 'show graph' button beside the 'show data' one on the right and the statistics in graphs will be displayed. You can drag the timeline to view the transaction information across time, mouse over the graph to display the exact figures of median price per square foot or the number of units sold.

Wow... this is seriously one very good service to go to if you want to find out how the property market is doing! TeamOneMap strongly recommends PMI!
