Childcare Services has been in the top 3 themes for almost every single month since the launch of OneMap. Sometimes TeamOneMap wonders why is this theme so popular among the 40 plus themes we have. If it is due to the fact that places in childcare centres are difficult to get so parents need to find other alternatives, news of more support for childcare teachers is certainly a good news for them!

ChannelNewsAsia reported that childcare centres are now able to recruit and train para-educators and para-educarers to support the childcare teachers. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1161991/1/.html This would enhance the childcare services provided with more helping hands to ensure children get a more conducive environment to learn and interact.

So try to look again in OneMap to find the nearest childcare centre and enquire about the vacancy. Who knows after this new implementation, the childcare centre will be able to handle the higher demand and your child can be enrolled in.

As always, you can navigate to the themes icon and go to Family > Child Care Services. The locations of childcare centres will appear on the map. Click on the icons to find out the name and address of the centre.
