Yes, it is finally here! The one service that TeamOneMap has been working hard to bring to our users... PropertyPrices!
As the name of the service suggests, this service will tell you the transacted prices for properties around a particular area. Let's see how it works!
PropertyPrices is the third service parked under the Services Icon. Select this option and the PropertyPrices widget box will pop up.
There are 3 tabs within the widget, for demonstration purposes, we stick to the 'By Map' tab. For those who know the postal districts, you may wish to try finding properties using the 'By Area' method.
First, users can select a location by typing it in the search form at the top (just like how you usually search for places in OneMap). In this example, we want to search for properties that are near Bishan MRT Station.
The map will zoom into the MRT station. Next, users can set the radius to search for properties that are within 1 to 2km of the specified location.
Under the Property Type section, users can view and choose what types of housing they want to view, be it a private property or a public housing one.
After checking the property types, choose the transaction period. The maximum period available each time for searching is 1 year. So currently, transaction records are available between May 2010 till May 2011.
Finally, users can also input the price range if they are looking for properties within a certain price range. Once done, click on the search button.
From this example, there are 2 types of icons appearing on the map. One representing private properties, the other one HDB flats. You can click on each icon to view the transacted properties and their relevant information like floor level (aggregated), transacted prices, floor area etc.
The usefulness of this service does not stop here. What if users want to compare many properties? There is this add button on each record for users to shortlist properties!
Not only can you compare transacted properties within a building, you can also compare across properties, be it private or HDB ones!
All the selected properties will be added onto a widget pop up on the right. You can choose to remove any of them any time. Once you are satisfied with the selected properties, hit the 'List Details' button and a new pop up will appear, listing down all the information of properties you have selected. You can also sort the different fields in ascending or descending order. :)
TeamOneMap is giving this service 2 thumbs up! This would certainly be a great tool to help property buyers make informed decisions when buying properties!
