Not Celebrating Chinese New Year? Find Places to go!

Posted by OneMap | Saturday, January 29, 2011 | Category: , , |

Yay! Chinese New Year is around the corner... less than 1 week to go!

For most Chinese, it is the time of the year to go visiting, meet up with long-time-no-see friends and relatives and for the kids, it is ang bao time! For food lovers, it is pastry gobbling time! No matter what time is it, TeamOneMap is sure that it is definitely gonna be enjoyable. :)

It is a festive season for those celebrating the Lunar New Year. How about those who are not going anywhere for visiting? You can go to OneMap to look for places to go and things to do! And we strongly recommend you take a look at our Recreation Theme.

Navigate to the Theme icon, then to Recreation and then to Tourist Attractions. Nope, don't think that tourist attractions are only meant for tourists, we can be local tourists too!

As you can see, most of the attractions are located downtown while some are close to the outskirts of the island. You can click on any of the icons to view more information of the place. If you are intending to bring kids out for a day of fun, consider those attractions that are usually associated with foreign tourists visiting them. If you are on your own, you may consider exploring attractions that are not that well known to foreigner or even locals.

That's all we have for this week. Less to come next week due to Chinese New Year? Haha...  we shall see. :P

PS: Please check the opening hours of attractions you want to go to make sure they are open!
